Nokia’s most iconic mobile phone is making a comeback this year

Ever wondered what it would be like if the world’s most indestructible phone were still in circulation? In a modern world where mobile users are plagued with fragile mobile phone bodies and battery drain, a quick throwback could prove to be refreshing.

Evan Blass, tech leaker extraordinaire, has just stated that Nokia will relaunch the iconic 3310 at the MWC on February 26, 2017. This caused ripples of excitement for anyone who was around in the 2000s, right when the first 3310 units had begun claiming the mobile arena.

The Nokia 3310, which featured a click-on cover, long-lasting battery life, and sturdy body built, was THE thing until it was discontinued in 2005.

Some reports state that the Nokia 3310 will be relaunched as the Nokia 3, the entry level member of the 4-unit Nokia relaunch set. The Nokia 5 and Nokia D1C are slated for mid-tier, while the Nokia P1 takes over as flagship.

While some are skeptical about the relaunch of the Nokia 3310, asserting that the only way to move forward is to come up with something new, we’re still excited about its return and how it will affect the current market. After all, when you’re not sure how to do it, old school is the way to go.
