You’ll love this new Instagram update

Taking LOADS of pictures, selfies, and videos, and sharing them to the world is an essential part of the millenial lifestyle. Thanks to Instagram which launched in 2010, sharing photos and videos will never be the same again with its iconic vintage Polaroid interface.

Surprise! 🎉 Swipe left on the post above to see more. Starting today, you can share up to 10 photos and videos in one post on Instagram. With this update, you no longer have to choose the single best photo or video from an experience you want to remember. When uploading to your feed, you’ll see a new icon to select multiple photos and videos. It’s easy to control exactly how your post will look. You can tap and hold to change the order, apply a filter to everything at once or edit one by one. These posts have a single caption and are square-only for now. On a profile grid, you’ll notice the first photo or video of a post has a little icon, which means there’s more to see. And in feed, you’ll see blue dots at the bottom of these posts to let you know you can swipe to see more. You can like and comment on them just like a regular post. This update is available as part of Instagram version 10.9 for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play. To learn more, check out help.instagram.com.

Just yesterday, Instagram dropped another bomb that will change the game for photo and video sharing. Before, you need to pick out one out of a hundred photos you took during your visit to Dubai Miracle Garden. Now, you can upload up to 10 photos or videos in one go!

Your multiple photos or videos will show up in your feed as just one entry in a carousel format. To view the other photos or video, all you need to do is swipe left and right.

This feature has been available to advertisers, but not the regular users. However, earlier this month, rumors of this new feature coming out has been going around online communities because it was made available for a limited number of beta testers.

But how does it work?

Sugar and spice and everything nice — meringue kisses, fairy floss, buttercream icing, chocolate ganache, crystallized flowers, raspberry macaroons — that’s what Georgia’s Cakes are made of. “More is more,” says Georgia Green (@georgiascakes), the 25-year-old baker churning out decadent, drool-worthy cakes in her London kitchen. “My cakes may look perfect, but if you smudge a bit of icing, stick some popcorn on it!” Working in a cafe upon her Le Cordon Bleu graduation, Georgia was commissioned to bake a cake for a high-profile client and realized she could strike out on her own. Now, she’s her sole employee, whipping up every single topping, batch of frosting and layer of cake herself. Swipe left on this post to see more of Georgia’s over-the-top cakes. It’s really simple.

When you receive the update, an new icon for uploading multiple photos or videos will show up on your screen when you tap on upload. Like the usual way of uploading multiple stuff on other social networks, just tap and hold the photos you want, in the order that you want them, and voila! Instant Instagram photo carousel.

Interesting how this update just rolled out before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to be held in Barcelona, and of course if you’re into movies, the Oscars. We can’t wait to see how celebrities and other social influencers will use this brand new Instagram feature to share their day with us common people!
