This is why everyone’s buying the Huawei Honor 9

The Honor 9 surely lived up to its tagline, “Beautifully Brilliant”. Its 15-layer glass rear panel catches light and warps it into different shapes and patterns–a feat that probably took a lot of planning to ensure a flawless design execution. It curves towards the edges of the phone, which make the device look more put together despite being a bit slippery to the touch.

It also sports a 5.15″ 1080p IPS display protected with Gorilla Glass 3 which sacrifices contrast in favor of better visibility in broad daylight.

Huawei’s 2017 flagship model boasts a dual rear camera with a 12 MP RGB sensor and another 20 MP for monochrome, while its front shooter has 8 MP–perfect for spur-of-the-moment selfies.

Audiophiles rejoice: the developers behind Honor 9 put a lot of thought into how they want the device to play music, and they certainly did not disappoint. It has a Hi-Fi audio chip engineered by Grammy Award winner Rainer Maillard which promises virtual surround sound and 3D sound profiles care of Monster for seamless headphone listening.

The phone comes with 3200 mAh battery–bigger than that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 7 by a huge margin. This hefty size promises at least a couple of day’s worth of offline music listening.

Its Kirin 960 octa-core processor runs with a 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. You can choose between 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage. That’s already impressive enough on their own, but could still be expanded with a microSD card. The Huawei Honor 9 runs on Android 7 Nougat.

The Honor 9 arrives at European shores early this month. All three models have already been available for purchase in China since June 16 but fellow Emiratis, worry not! This much-awaited smartphone will be available really soon in UAE and KSA as well, anytime this summer to be exact.
